With all the things you have done, I can’t imagine pulling the thermostat corrected the problem, unless it was defective or not the correct part. A 180 degree thermostat is a good choice. These engines are designed to run 100 degrees above the ambient temperature. So if it’s a 115 ambient, the truck would be perfectly normal if the temperature of the engine hit 215. Drive the truck about 10 miles w/o the thermostat and see if the temperature slowly creeps up and pegs the gauge. If it does, you have a combustion leak into the cooling system. If it runs cool, then the problem is with the thermostat, which could be bad or not the right part. Post a new post at the top and let us know the results.
