I believe the old head cracked from over heating it was that way when I got the truck. But the radiator was in bad shape, the wate pump had a wiggle, the dist was in goos shape along with the hoses. The truck only has about 7k original miles. But, it was a brush truck with a Fire Dept. in Viginia. No telling waht the truck seen abuse wise. the opiston/ valves all looked even for wear. from what I could see insode the engine it looked clean in the water jackets. I am wondering if the pumps on these things are up to the task, not a lot of vanes on it.
