Well I pulled the front hub off of the M since I wiped out the Locking Hub to make sure all is clean and OK.
Well In the process I've found that the inner seal surface is galled pretty good, and I'll be putting in new bearings and seal. Sure wish I'd noticed that back in March when I had it apart. But it looks like I might have damaged the seal when I re-installed the hub then, and it could have caused the problem?
I have a spare spindle, but the outer bearing surface is a little looser than the one on the M (1.812 vs 1.810). Not a lot in measurement, but feels like more, could be the difference in the diameter at the tread end rather than the shoulder end. Should I be concerned?
Also, has anyone ever had a spindle seal area turned and a ready sleeve installed?
