i posted a rather long explanation of what is going on but the lameness warning came up with a reason to block my response. basically remove poor quality parts as a variable and then make sure your pistons can not travel too far inboard (improperly adjusted top adjusters) or too far outboard (worn linings and or drums) the piston and cup must ride in the smooth bore. if it over travels in either direction it will cause small tears in the cup or the piston will gouge the cylinder hone. i go with john bizal on any parts for your wc as he is a quality control guy. he wont sell you what he hasnt used himself and he checks his part quality.
