If you are figuring out the surface area, for coverage, take the 2 dimensions of each side and multiply them, then divide your answer by 144. That will give you the square feet. Do this to the top, one side and one end, then double your answer for the total square feet.
Now volume is length x width x height divided by 1728 will give you cubic feet. It is almost midnight and I am tired and cant remember how many gallons are in a cubic foot. Someone will chime in with the answer.
I think the short answer is get a quart of the stuff, it will do a PW tank.
