Its my understanding the term "Woody" or "Woodie" was for a particular style of car body which regardless of the vehicles make they all resemble the same look/style. Part of the American Graffiti, hotrod era. Not some 1915 automobile that was made of wood and at the time was little more then a horseless carriage.
