Your right Jerry. I was thinking the same thing.
I just researched this a little more and the drawing in my Dodge WDX Parts Book dated Feb 48 shows the line from the oil galley(block) to the top of the filter (supply).
The line from the bottom of the filter goes to the port on the relief valve.
I will be changing mine soon.
