Made my own headliner as well as seat cover.
Vinyl cost me $5/yard, something like 7-8 yards to do the whole interior. You need some 'piping' to do the seams. Doesn't need an industrial machine, just a good one. Use a zipper foot to sew the piping to the edges, then again with the zipper foot to sew that edge to the other piece. Oh, use a 'leather and vinyl needle'. The end is like a dagger rather than an ice pick. It cuts through the vinyl much better.
Then I did the top by spray adhesive the same light weight vinyl to something from the upholstery fabric shop, "water proof backer board". It's heavy black cardboard. 1/8" thick. Use "Headliner high temp spray adhesive", also from a upholstery fabric shop. Glue the vinyl to the face, then fold and glue the edge to the back. No sewing needed.
Try the net for "Keyston supply", with a buffalo and a "K" as a logo.
Then I went ahead and covered the door panels and kick plates. Anything I could to deaden the noises. And all scrubable.
It looks like I'll have this headliner for sale. If I go through with making a five-window extended cab out of my '53.
Wait, maybe I'll see if the guy with the windows wants to swap?
