900 x 20 tire & rim question

Has anybody ever took the rims from a 6x6 and welded the center hole "modified" and made them fit our power wagons. I am just curious because of the 900 x 20 tires availability and cheap. Are the 900 x 20's to big for our power wagons would be another question, any input please ??
