a two speed rear would be the berries! vintage switch on the column would look right at home. Its not impossible and if you were a machinist, it would be a fun project. im sure you could find a 5.83 rear in a 2 speed rear combo. eliminating the offset would allow a centered rear and would allow custom axles shafts to be fabricated easily.
