I got a line on several spools of good used cable, diameter ranging from 1-3/8" to 1-3/4", that they will probably give to anyone who will take it since the scrappers don't want it these days. Each spool contains around 6000-7000 feet each and weighs around 40,000 lbs. It's pulled from service when the diameter has decreased 10% from new. I plan to get some for use on a future suspension bridge, but that will leave plenty for you. They have no way to unspool it or load it.
