Hi Paul. It's surprising to me that the powder coating on your Buckstop bumper is peeling. Mine is very hard and durable, but the problem I have is rock chips. And my son is having the same experience with his.
I would never recommend powder coat for bumper and running boards. As Manny said, an epoxy paint is repairable, whereas powder coat is not.
That being said, I have had great results with wheels that were sandblasted first, then powder coated. JH
