Several thoughts here.
If the vacuum pump is designed to have the outlet vented to atmosphere it might not have the ability to pressurize a tank. If it did have the ability, you are increasing the differential pressure across the unit and that may cause it to fail prematurely.
Also, once you draw a vacuum on your inlet side you can run it all day and you still won't have any more air to add to the pressure side.
