Engine turns over but wont fire- Help please

I am sooo frustrated. I'm trying to get my 251 engine to start but all I'm able to do is turn it over. I have the modified wiring diagram from VPW since I have gone to a 12 volt (-) ground with alternator. And I believe I have everything wired correctly. I do not get a spark from the high voltage wire from the coil. Points open and close. I repalced the igition wires and high voltage wire and a new coil with resister. Could it be the ignition switch? I replaced the key cylinder since the old one was sticking and difficult to turn key. How can I test the switch? I am a complete moron when it comes to auto electrics. Any help sincerely appreciated.
