Perry, I have an origional tailgate off a 48. No rust. Also a straight, bed, head panel. Which has been sand blasted and epoxy primered. If you are looking for a perfect tailgate this is not it. But, it is serviceable. If interested will send photo or I am just off IS78 near Deleware River in New Jersey. Good luck.
