I’ve done this with a a late model car with a broken rocker tower. Pulled the injector wire & the spark plug to get it home. Obviously on Matt's engine the entire electrode pulled out if it sounded like an air compressor. I would be afraid to drive a carbureted engine home with a hole thru a spark plug. The cylinder would still be drawing in a fair amount of fuel/air then compressing it out at high velocity thru the broken spark plug. Sooner or later an ignition source (like the glowing remnants of the spark plug) would be found for the atomized fuel = -1 truck.
