It has been my experience in rebuilding many of these that the USUAL reason for poor oil pressure is worn out rod/main bearings AND JOURNALS. The cranks are very soft, so they wear a lot also. However, The engine will run forever at the oil pressure you described, as far as oil pressure is concerned. What I would be concerned about is how much bottom end wear I had.
