I just had 93 Power Ram 250 w Cummins TD 4x4, in the shop for just that reason. The complant was an uncontrolable shimmy, at low speed after hitting an expantion joint( bridge) or somthing similar. The only loose part in the front end was this bracket. After repairing the bad brackit, the very bad shimmy was much worse. We added a steering stablizer, witch nearly cured the shimmy. Now that we have taken care of all the symtoms it was time to deal with the problem. TIRES.After rotating tires the problem went away. To answer your question, no I don't think the stabalizer is any problem, I think it will help you. The Dodge dealer should know by now what cause this problem. Any time I replace a part like this, I ask the parts guys if they have ever sold one. Answer yea a few. I know this bogus tire did this one in, but there was plenty of warning, the owner chose to ingnore. I also havent a clue to the problem with this tire. It was OK balanced, rebalancing did not help, and it did not have a weird wear patern. It worked OK on the rear.
