For what it is worth, if you are not dead set on original equipment, when you do the roof hole, consider using urethane seam sealer in the groove for the T -gasket and ply wood in the hole. I used a bedliner product called Durabak three coats thick to cover the plywood. It provides (so far) a leak free roof with a non-skid surface if you choose to nap on the roof.
