Chrysler claims that 10% of the dealerships sell 90% of the cars...I can see that.
They claim there are costs involved training people.
The part I don't understand is that many many dealerships are being told to close. Many of those dealerships have leases that will have to be bought out, employees that will get severance pay, etc. Chrysler will be responsible to pay these debts. How long will that take...breaking leases on huge commercial properties will cost millions & millions of dollars & there's no court in the land that would allow Chrysler to sink these owners with these HUGE costs.
To answer your question...I have absolutely no idea how this saves them money.
