How do you remove the shift lever on the early (1995) NV4500 in a 2500 Ram?
The one I have in my W500 has a threaded shifter that just threads onto the stub coming out of the transmission...& the stub can be removed by unbolting the 4 bolts. The 95 2500...it's just a round tower & it looks like it should come out like a 435 or any other vintage Dodge but it's virtually imposible to get your fingers down there to compress the spring far enough to turn the retainer?
Am I missing something?
