I lived in SB from 68 to 01. I spent a lot of time on those trails/ roads. My son took up down hill bike riding, and from the top of Camino Cielo he would beat me .down to the trail head every time.
I am glad you made it out safe, unlike the 3 to 4 Firemen that got overrun by the fire.
Dodge content my 41 Carryall has been all through the mountains there.
