the tanks are usually full of crud/rust
and have to be "BOILED OUT" by a radiator shop
i dinked with all the filter, lines, etc.
until i bit the bullet & had the tank cleaned
have had no fuel problems since.
kind of simple plumbing from tank to fuel pump to carb needs to be clean & free flowing
