As Chris said earlier, the zerk fitting can be mistaken for a set screw. They get broken off over the years. Even greasing the zerk it is questionable whether you will get much grease between the u-joint and the shaft. It's better to pull the drive line apart once every 10 or 15 years and grease it while putting it back together. But seldom does anyone want to do that. :) JH
