Makes it difficult to move machinery around. Plus the sharp corners can scrape up strips of coating.
I'd rather have a sheet of Medex. It's a hard waterproof fiberboard. Makes for a flat deck, covers up the ribs. And spreads the load. I once left a gully in a van, by loading in an electric pallet jack- made by the Plymouth Locomotive Co. The gully didn't show through the carpet, but I'd hate to have to sleep in that van.
I guess it depends on whether you are looking for dress up, or function. But then, if I was truly functional, I'd put a flatbed on.
