Well Ford is free of the Govt for sure but were they not about to go under a year or 2 ago? If my memory serves me right they got lucky and secured some loans to keep things rolling. Those loans will eventually catch up with them too! No one is buying right now and they still have to make the payments.
I wonder if theres more to it then we know with Chrysler. I suspect the holding company is playing games to wipe out debt and or be ready to sell things off to make them money.
