I'm with you Franz.
I find batteries in our climate last an average of 7 years if you maintain them through the winter.
They always seem to go at the beginning of winter & it's usually pretty easy to sense when it's time is up without it leaving you on the side of the road.
A battery is definitely not something you want to try to get every last penny out of unless you have more time on your hands than money.
