I use the "Battery Minder" plug in smart charger devices on all my batteries that are not being used much.
For my PW I am restoring, the battery is now 6 years old with this device keeping it charged. Same with my farm tractor battery. My lawn tractor battery is now heading into its third year...and so on.
I am sold on these devices; also they are only about $50.
