Bad coils will act like fuel starvation. Seems that under load, the mixure richens up, and is harder for a weak coil to fire off. How is it on hills? Those also richen up.

Try a spare coil. And also, fuel line probs, either plugged up or air leaks. Or a weak fuel pump?
