Well for me I like cruising at 65 and doing 90MPH @ 3900rpm if I want too (scary with stock brakes). In a TW you can sleep in it, have a party when the weather turns south. Don't get me wrong, the FFPWs are fabulous trucks, but I had a stock CJ2A with Warn OD for 15 years and I've had enough of rapping out at 55mph with a flathead and 5.38 gears... fun though and I do miss it.
If you put an SM420 or an adpated NP435 4spd with a Dana 18 married T-case and 4.89 gears with the Warn/Atlas OD in an FFPW the rear axle is already offset and you would have 16 forward gears and cruising speeds. Just an idea. G
.73OD with 4.89 rear = 3.57 cruising gears.
