Bill, I'm at the same stage with my truck as well. I have the cab all sanded and will media blast the inside and out with black magic grit. I find that this leaves the surface rough and makes the expoy preimer grip better. I had planned to blast the inside / bottom first. Then expoy prime it with two coats. The outer skin is then relatively easy to do the same too. I'm not sure if i'll tape the inside off from the balst media. I will then do the body filler for some small dents and patches I added , then use a high build urethane primer. The top coat will be urethane ( two part ) and no clear coat as it is high gloss and UV stable. I think the best way is to shot the bottom and inside first by having the cab laying on it's back. I have some foam pads I lay it on for protection. Two or three coats i'd put on the bottom and around the door openings and dash/window areas. The rest of the inside will be covered with headliner and panels. I would then sit it back on it's base and shoot the top. I think the best way is to shoot from the top down ( all openings will be now taped off to the inside) and work around the cab to the bottom. I'm not sure if the top paint will set up before i'm finished the bottom or not. Hopefully this will prevent any overspary from affecting the first painted areas. I have never done this before as well so it should be interesting, especially at $200 / gallon for the paint.
