I assume you can't easily trace out the wires to see where they go. Have you tried applying voltage to each pair of wires to see if anything happens? If would be hard to hurt anything, even if you hook the voltage up backwards or the motor is up against a stop, if you don't hold it for long. I've noticed that a lot of the wiring on new vehicles doesn't assume a chassis ground, especially when the device is mounted to something that's only indirectly connected to the body or chassis. My guess is one of those three wires is the ground, and the motors are not "grounded" to the seat base anywhere.
