1962 W100 won't start??

I recently bought a 1962 Power Wagon W100. Now that I have it home it seems to have a problem with the starter. I had the starter bench tested and it was bad. So I bought a new starter and now it has the same problem. I checked all the cables. It is like it has a half dead battery and now it sounds like just a loud buzz. Please help!!
