Yah do not stick your head under the weld . You breath in Argon you are dead. Mig mix can do you in too .
With stick i just ram the darn thing in and adjust the temp until the bead looks decent . ramming in the rod seems counterintuitive but it is what i was taught and works .
MIG- i do not like doing it . knock the temp down .
