I've driven in the sand on Cap Cod for years & is generally not a problem. Air down Air down & Air down. Start at 15 lbs or so & you'll have no problem. If you start spinning in 4WD try airing down a bit more. Back in 79 My old man & I were running the beach in his new 4X4 E350 van with 12 ply tires. Boy we thought we were cool. Aired down to 20 & buried ourselves. WE got things so hot from spinning tires the rust proofing caught fire. A local came by shook his head & said to air to 10lbs. After that we could run in 2WD. All beaches are different & some softer than others but low pressure is key & momentum certainly helps. If you're only going to be there a week I would not worry about the salt water. After the trip hose her down good or better yet wash her off in a fresh water boat ramp. I run my M37 on the beach all the time as well as my wifes Excursion & we've had no issues. Avoid the water & rinse as often as you can. Have a great vacation.
