If you have two 12volt batteries in a vehicle and the system is still all 12volt, then the two batteries are connected in parralel. To jump another vehicle with multiple twelve volt batteries connected to produce either a 12 volt or 24 volt system, the jumping procedure is the same.
If jumping from a muilti battery 12volt system, connect the positive cable to the positive post of either battery. Connect the other end of the 12 volt cable to one of the 12volt batteries on the vehicle you are jumping. Connect one end of the negative cable to the negative terminal on the same battery you have the 12volt cable connected to on the vehicle you are jumping. Take the other end of the negative cable back to the jumping vehicle and connect it to a good solid ground on the engine of the jumping vehicle. This last connection will produce a spark, you do not want any sparks at either battery as it could explode any hydrogen gas that the battery may be emitting. Let the jumping vehicle run a while to charge the battery. If necessary you may have to disconnect the negative cable from the jumping vehicle then go back to the vehicle you are jumping and move both positive and negative clamps to the next battery and charge it a while. Always put the positive and negative cables on the same battery and charge one battery at a time. This way you will not get into trouble and can jump either a multi battery 12 or 24 volt system with any 12 volt system.
Do not try and jump more then one battery at a time.
