I was going to suggest the same thing.
I would put a piece of steak on her nose and ban her from getting it until I was ready.
After she sat there trembling and whining to the point I could no longer stand it myself(Ha) I would let her have it.
She learned to catch very quickly,LOL.
also Learned who was the pack leader(Boss)!
