Grant, We're not so much trying to reproduce some one else's truck as to get the lines perfect. The Power wagon is such a large truck that it's easy to make it appear too boxy. Even some of the originals as beautiful as they are appear just a bit to linear & squared off. I know it's heresy to ever criticize anything Dodge or every mention another auto maker but the lines are probably a bit more Chevy like than anything else. Keep in mind though that Campbell & Cantrell were both coach builders who did lots of custom work & obviously would have done whatever a customer wanted at the time. The fact that very few of them survives points to the fact that even in the golden age of wood the would have been a fairly rare truck. We're just trying to do what a Cantrell or Campbell did only 60 years later. Obviusly with a few tweaks where we feel the truck will benefit because of newer techniques or materials. It is my hope to be able to really use the truck & not just tow her around. The beauty of these wonderful machines is their use of simple power & there adaptabilty to so many uses. Is there another truck out there in so many different forms? A testament to its functionality.
