Get a National Detroit. Period. I have an ND 8" DA sander that was purchased in 1987 and had never been in for service. I sent it back and it was returned in like new condition in two days. They sent me an email during that time about the history of the tool which I got from a friend. If you call them you will speak with a very nice lady WITHOUT going through an automated switchboard. They only speak ENGLISH and the tools are made in Rockford ,IL. Yes they do cost more than the throw away Chinese stuff but they will last and do a far superior job.
