After so many years, you might want to put emphasis on whether the springs are "tired". My '52 B-3 had the stock number of springs, but the springs were a little flat. I took them to a spring shop and had them re-arched to the 5.25" arc (mentioned as being spec here in the archives), and had them add a leaf to help hold it due to the addition of a winch. Re-arcing alone is said to not hold to well.
