Installing the gear box with the sector shaft at a 10deg. tangent from the normally perpendicular tie rods will cause an arc at the pitman arm end. So when you steer one direction the centerlink will drop towards the ground & turning the other direction it will cause it to rise. You would have to take this vertical movement into consideration because you might loose any clearance you thought you gained. Also to take into consideration is loss of steering travel. At 10 degrees you might not loose much, but think in your head if you were to lay the sector shaft at a 45deg angle. A pitman arm that used to travel say 6” left to right would now only move the center link about 4.25”…there goes your already stellar turning radius!
