Yes, back in the day before frost plug heaters.
My truck came from MN.,minus the power cord and I had no clue what it was. Brett pointed it out for me.
Was a aftermarket item bought at local parts store and replaced a head bolt,to warm the water. Frost plug heaters were developed later.
