The outter wheel dish appears deeper than the standard FFPW. Questions:
- Without the spacer, will the two tires have space between them? If they do, how much?
- The spacer may have been used to ensure space between the two tires or to add aditional space so tires chains could be used.
You have two options:
- Braze the old lock. Not an option I would use because these are grade 5 locks and brazing will weaken the strength.
- Use the NAPA part I provided. It has about half the shoulder lgh. as your original, yet will be fine for holding the spacer. You could replace all the originals with NAPA's part and still be ok. The spacer does nothing except ensure space between the wheels.
Keith - The spacer is locked once the outter rim is mounted and tighten.
