I do have cable, but for a long time I was on dialup and it's painful.
The machine is really cool. It's a Fordson tractor without the wheels, mounted on a special frame with a pto driven sprocket system that drives two cylindrical pontoons. Each pontoon has a spiral system, one wound left and one wound right from front to rear that serve as threads on a screw. The whole thing floats on the snow and goes just about anywhere. They also set up an old Chevy sedan with the same system. Filmed in 1924? Very cool.
