I think it could be a real good starting point. I don't need this to be authentic, I just want a bit of filtration that's better than 1/4" wire screen. I suppose whoever had it before figured that a sno-cat doesn't have to deal with much dust, but that screen won't even keep the mud wasps out. They probably put the screen on because they added a governor, which put the carburetor up too high for even the angled air cleaner. I took the governor off, so now there should be room for some sort of air cleaner. If what you have has the clamp, a right angle bend, and a round inlet of some sort, I'm sure I can make something that will work from that.
