Good points. I feel that brakes that are done properly critical. I look at this just like having your trailer matched to your truck and load being carried.
I believe that the key point is have you done due dilligence. Ie have you done the best you can in your design and implementation. Your attitude of using standard industry parts implemented in industry standard ways will go a long way to reducing the lawyers/sharks from taking any and all money that you currently or may have in the future.
We will never be able to stop accidents. We can never stop the sharks. We can reduce the damage that they do to us by our due dilligence in the construction of our trucks.
