I've still got a 99 and it only gets 12 mpg! It needed an engine at 40,000 miles and has since needed an AC evap and a new heater core, all $$$. Back when I bought it I wished I would have purchased another Explorer as it was more econmical and my 91 went 200,000 without any problems.
