Was it a NAPA 155 or Stant 13928 thermostat that was sold to you? It is a 180 degree and is designed for the elbow (thermostat housing) that uses the by-pass. It uses a big rubber ring that mounts on top of the thermostant and is designed differently from a conventional thermostat. It's also a combination of brass/stainless. This is for the FFPW engine that uses the by-pass, and I guess it would be the same for a sno-cat, but I'm not sure.
