The best way to lock up gears is to put a bear box in two gears at once. Like the back gears on a lathe to unscrew the chuck. Or to tighten the nut an a transmission shaft. The same will happen to your driveline- pretty much locked up, hard to move, until something breaks. Probably an axle shaft, that's the weak point.
And the torque against the axles will be multiplied- Instead of 4.89 or 5.83, the torque against the axle will be some co-efficent of the difference, umm, a difference of 20% means 5 times the torque?
Better to remove a driveshaft if you want to change only one ratio.
