This is a picture of the Trico Saab Platform motor I was sent for fitting in a PW. Note that the motor shaft is in line with the output shaft. This allows the motors to face opposite directions to clear the windshield hinges, and still have the output shaft at the same level. The 3 problems with this motor;
1. Very Costly...Saab Prices
2. 179 degrees of sweep, non adjustable
3. output shaft housing to long
These motors gave 10 nm (7.375 foot pounds of torque)
Manny has the idea, bump out the cover for the wipers. This opens a lot of choices in a large motor/gear driven marine motor similar to what is in the picture, only sealed and made to look nice in the open. On my trucks, if possible, I dont want a bumped out wiper motor cover, even though that would solve a lot of problems
